This is our vision for pointB's new Design-Thinking Center for Community Engagement located in Mon state, Myanmar. We're partnering with frog design and Mawlamyine University to train change agents of tomorrow in the tools and processes needed to identify problems within their communities, gather information, make ideas tangible and continue to improve them by engaging local partners. The tools we teach allow communities to become engaged in rebuilding schools, hospitals and help to create jobs and agriculture.
What if all this was possible? Would you want to help?

Within the next few years, many people expect thousands of displaced people will return home. Villages and communities will be reunited. Businesses and industries will be rebuilt. Jobs redefined. Social services like healthcare and education will be reorganized.
The door to Myanmar has opened slightly. For the seed of democracy to grow, the development process must be nurtured with new ideas, tools, and perspectives. International and local communities must work together to focus attention on a common vision that supports a free and open society that can responsibly develop, access and capitalize on its extensive resources, both human and natural.
With an eye on these tremendous challenges, Point B Design + Training is born.
